RSC UNIFORM
Our new College Uniform brochure will be uploaded as soon as the College year resumes.
All RSC uniform items can be purchased from Lowes Schoolwear, Macquarie Shopping Centre, North Ryde (on ramp level between level 1 & 2)
Students are reminded to wear black laced up shoes. Black laced up shoes can be purchased from stores such as: Payless Shoes, Kmart, Mathers Shoes, Big W, The Athlete's Foot and Target.
Raiben and other types of shoes not providing adequate toe and heal protection or foot support are not recommended and not permitted in TAS, Hospitality or PDHPE subjects.
Chiro Backpacks - Navy Blue - no logo
Chiro backpacks can be purchased from our College. They come in 2 sizes: Medium and Large. Come with a warranty should something happen to the backpack - please phone College to find out if your breakage is covered.
Cost: Medium - $70.00, Large - $75.00.
Basic Back Packs - Prices vary from $25.00 upwards
A range of suitable back packs are available from stores such as: Strandbags, Big W, Target, Kmart.

A backpack should sit on the childs back and should evenly distribute the weight to the large muscles in our body.

If the backpack is too heavy or not worn properly, they can cause damage or injury to the childs back.

Make sure the backpack has well padded shoulder straps and a waist strap if carrying heavy weights.

The backpack should keep the weight close to the childs back.

Organise the backpack so that items are neatly arranged and the backpack can rest comfortably against the back.
Education tax refund
The education tax refund (ETR) may assist you with the education costs of your dependants.
You can claim the ETR on your tax return if you are receiving or entitled to receive family tax benefit Part A.
You can claim items such as school uniforms (from 2011-12), home internet connection, personal computer purchases, electronic calculators, pens, texts, exercise books and other education consumables.
You cannot claim school fees or school excursion costs.
You can claim up to 50% of your eligible expenses.
- The maximum amount for primary students is 50% of costs up to $794 ($818 in 2011-12) per dependant - max $397 ($409 in 2011-12) refund.
- The maximum amount for secondary students is 50% of costs up to $1,588 ($1,636 in 2011-12) per dependant - max $794 ($818 in 2011-12) refund.
