College Information
Ryde Secondary College is a NSW Government 7-12 coeducational high school built on proud academic, creative,
sporting and social traditions.
An academically selective student cohort of two classes (60 students) operates in each of our Years 7 to 10. A wide range of levels are available to senior students in English and Mathematics to suit all ability levels.
Students are also offered a wide range of subject choices which can be tailored to enable them to meet their academic, creative, physical and social potentials.
Our purpose is to create a dynamic, collaborative educational environment, where the individual is valued and positive learning outcomes are achieved.
The comprehensive nature of Ryde Secondary College is a strong feature of the school. Students often comment that they greatly value studying and engaging with students from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of abilities, in our caring and supportive environment.
Our College culture is enriched by the inclusion of a Special Education Unit, where some students are integrated into mainstream elective classes in line with the school's policy of inclusion.
All students are supported by programs designed to maximise their learning outcomes while focusing on the development of respect, cooperation, responsibility and leadership.
Our extra-curricular program and links with local community organisations, primary and tertiary education partners provide learning opportunities which contribute to the development of a wider range of skills, understanding and talents in every child.
