Drama
In Drama students learn to collaborate in a process whereby they develop skills in communication, use their imagination to explore, shape, and symbolically represent ideas feelings attitudes, beliefs and circumstances. Drama allows students to develop confidence, think creatively and develop skills which supplement their studies in other subjects.
Students work on a variety of different approaches to theatre performance. This is dependant on their age group. These include physical theatre, characterisation, commedia dell’arte, devising theatre, text interpretation, absurdism, teacher-in-role, storytelling, improvisation and many other styles of theatre.
Students are given a wide range of opportunities to perform and to experience professionally produced theatre performances.
